Cara Mia is a Norman 23 built about 1980 as near as we can find out, and had been newly upholstered and carpeted throughout. I completed the purchase of her on 7th September 2005. She is fitted as a four berth and has a Honda 4 stroke 10HP outboard engine. I have added a 12 volt inverter to her specifications, and will shortly be wiring her for mains electricity, which the Marina is making available this winter. I also have a portable GPS that I owned before I bought her. "Cara Mia" is berthed at Bridgehouse Marina, Garstang on the Lancaster Canal
I am new to small canal boating, but have served in the Merchant Navy as a Deck Officer with Manchester Liners for eight years and then with the Manchester Ship Canal Pilot Service for a further nine years.
